I am passionate about learning and have worked hard over the years to achieve my goals. This website showcases my interests and accomplishments as a student, including my academic achievements and extracurricular activities. I believe that a well-rounded education involves both classroom learning and hands-on experiences, and I have taken advantage of every opportunity to build my skills and knowledge.
Accomplishments
SCTV(Student-TV Club)
With SCTV, I've had an amazing opportunity to learn extremely valuable skills, both on and off camera. This club is designed to provide a hands-on experience as well as special insight into what it's like to run a live show. While involved you must work hard and take immense pride in what you do, and the rewards of your hard work are seen in the successful programming that SCTV produces.
Birthplace studios(Podcast Club)
As a member of Birthplace Studios, I've had the opportunity to work hands-on with editing controls that has taught me so much about the inner-workings of podcast and radio shows. I've learned about the different tools and equipment used to create a successful show, how to edit audio and add in sound effects and music. The experience has helped me grow both personally and professionally, as I've learned valuable skills that will be useful throughout my life.
Springfield Student(newspaper Club)
As a member of Springfield Student, I have learned the in and outs of creating a well-crafted paper. Our student-run newspaper produces a 16 page paper every week with new and updated stories about the Springfield community and beyond. We meet every Monday to discuss upcoming articles and ensure that we are providing our readers with the most relevant and interesting content. Through my involvement with the club, I have honed my interviewing and transcription skills to ensure accuracy and impact.
Interests
When it comes to the media field, my background is diverse and extensive. I've worked in newspaper, TV, and radio, gaining valuable experience that has helped me develop my professional skills. Specifically, I see myself excelling in the TV world and envision myself in an on or off-camera role. My dream role is to be an ESPN host/anchor for a sports talk show or Sportscenter. Additionally, I'm passionate about sports writing and plan to pursue that aspect of the industry further in the future.
